Welcome to The Rising Stronger Project! We are community of individuals who have survived domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or child sexual abuse. We understand the challenges and struggles that survivors face, and we are here to offer support, resources, and empowerment as you navigate your healing journey.
Our vision is to empower individuals across New England, and beyond, by bringing hope and putting an end to victimization and exploitation related to sexual assault and domestic violence. Through education, healing, and advocacy, we aim to create a world where survivors are heard, supported, and empowered to reclaim their lives.
At The Rising Stronger Project, our mission is clear:
Raise Awareness and Educate: We strive to raise awareness and educate individuals, families, communities, coalitions, and systems about sexual abuse, domestic violence, and related traumas. By shining a light on these issues, we can break the cycle of silence and stigma surrounding them.
Empowerment Through Education: We believe in equipping individuals, families, and communities with the tools and resources they need to identify the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships. By providing education and support, we empower survivors to safely address challenging situations and advocate for their own well-being.
Life-Saving Prevention and Response: We are committed to bringing life-saving prevention and response education to communities and the first responders who serve them. By educating individuals and professionals, we can improve prevention efforts and ensure that survivors receive the support they need in times of crisis.
Changing the Narrative: We aim to change the stigma around being a survivor of abuse or violence by sharing the stories of survivors and allies. By amplifying their voices, we challenge misconceptions and inspire others to join us in supporting survivors and creating change.
Advocating for Policy Changes: We advocate for policy changes and education initiatives aimed at better protecting and supporting survivors and their families. By working with lawmakers and community leaders, we strive to create a more just and equitable society for all.
