The Rising Stronger Project’s No More Week
Trigger Warning: This content discusses sensitive topics, including domestic violence and sexual assault, which may be triggering for some individuals. Reader discretion is advised. If you are currently in distress or feel overwhelmed by these subjects, please prioritize your well-being and consider seeking support from a trusted friend, family member, or mental health professional. You are not alone, and help is available.
At the Rising Stronger Project, we are deeply committed to our mission of empowering survivors and advocating for an end to domestic violence and sexual assault. As part of our ongoing efforts, we recently had the honor of participating in the NO MORE Walk, an annual event dedicated to raising awareness and mobilizing communities in the fight against these pervasive forms of violence. In this blog post, we share our experience and highlight the importance of collective action in creating a safer and more supportive world for all.
The NO MORE Walk is not just an event; it's a powerful symbol of unity and solidarity in the movement to end domestic violence and sexual assault. Held annually in communities across the country, the walk brings together survivors, advocates, allies, and supporters to raise awareness, honor the resilience of survivors, and send a clear message that violence is unacceptable in any form.
For the Rising Stronger Project team, participating in the NO MORE Walk was an incredibly meaningful experience. Walking alongside fellow survivors and supporters from all walks of life, we felt a sense of solidarity and shared purpose. We know that we were part of something much larger than ourselves – a movement for change, healing, and hope.
As we reflect on our participation in the NO MORE Walk, we are reminded of the importance of taking action to create change. While the walk was a powerful and inspiring event, our work does not end there. As members of the Rising Stronger Project, we are committed to continuing our advocacy efforts, supporting survivors, and working towards a future free from violence and abuse.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in the NO MORE Walk, and to all those who continue to support our mission. Together, we are rising stronger.
